The Philippine Inter-Collegiate Debating Championship (PIDC) 2010 is the largest and most prestigious locally hosted debate tournament in the country. It will be held from April 7-12, 2010 at various venues within the University of the Philippines, Diliman, with an expected attendance of over 300 students and affiliates from all over the Philippiines. The PIDC 2010 is the fourth installment of the previous PIDC 2007: Ninoy Aquino Cup, PIDC 2008: The Sun Life Cup, and PIDC 2009: The Inquirer Cup and is the ninth Asian Parliamentary tournament organized by the UP Debate Society. WHO ARE WE? The University of the Philippines (UPDS) is the University of the Philippines-Diliman's official representative to debate and public speaking competitions here and abroad. For 16 years, UPDS has taken an active role in promoting debate and public speaking among the Filipino Youth. It has a well -established Debate Education Programs such as Fast Forward and Take A Stand which as introduced and strengthened the national passion for debate as an art and sport to provinces and schools accross the nation. UPDS has also organized the Inquirer Inter-Collegiate Philippine Championships 2007, 2008 and 2009, the biggest and most prestigious Asian-Parliamentary debate tournament in the country. Every year, the tournaments have drawn about 300 students and affiliates from all over the Philippines and Asia. ORGANIZERS
