About ESU

The English Speaking Union (ESU) is the Filipino youth’s gateway to the annual International Public Speaking Competition in London. Through its commitment in unleashing the youth’s potential in public speaking, ESU has brought glory to the Philippines by producing young Filipinos who excelled in the international public speaking scene, Patricia Evangelista champion in 2004, Gian Karlo Dapul champion in 2008 and Germaine Chuabio top 6 finalist in 2011.
This 2012, ESU will once again hold its “Search for the Filipino Representative to International Public Speaking Competition” in a huge gathering of young Filipino public speakers conveying a message on the “Wisdom of the youth”. The winner of the search will represent the Philippines in London in May 2012, with a speech on “Head or Heart”.
