Registration Procedure

Phase 1: Institution Registration and Downpayment of Registration Packages

Deadline: February 27, 2009, Friday, until 3:00pm only

  • Institution representatives must log on to the registration page of http://www.pidc-online.com. The Institution Registration Form must be filled up on this page. This form should include information on the number of teams and adjudicators that the institution will send to the tournament, as well as the quantity of the corresponding registration packages (the registration package code/s must be indicated on the form) that the institution is availing of.
  • A 50% downpayment for every registration package that the institution is availing of must be paid. This downpayment must be deposited at this bank account:
    Account Number: 3083-6501-75
    Account Name: UP Debate Society
    Branch: Bank of the Philippine Islands, Loyola Katipunan
  • The name of the depositor, the exact amount deposited, and the date when the money was deposited, which should not be later than February 6, 2009, must be indicated on the Institution Registration Form.
  • The institution representative must keep the copy of the deposit slip and present this copy, which serves as the official receipt, during the On-Site Confirmation (Phase 3 of the Registration).
  • The results of the Phase 1 Registration can be accessed on the registration page of http://www.pidc-online.com on or before March 4, 2009 (Wednesday).

Phase 2: Team, Adjudicator Registration and Full Payment of Registration Packages

Deadline: March 27, 2009, Friday, until 3:00pm only

  • Institution representatives must log on to the registration page of http://www.pidc-online.com and accomplish the Team, Adjudicator Registration Form on this page. The names, contact information, registration package codes, and special dietary requirements (if any) of all debaters and adjudicators that the institution will be sending to the tournament must be indicated on this form.
  • The remaining balance (50%) for every registration package that the institution is availing of must be paid. This payment must be deposited at this bank account:

  • The name of the depositor, the exact amount deposited, and the date when the money was deposited, which should not be later than March 27, 2009, must be indicated on the Team, Adjudicator Registration Form.
  • The institution representative must keep the copy of the deposit slip and present this copy, which serves as the official receipt, during the On-Site Confirmation (Phase 3 of the Registration).
  • Institutions will be charged Php 500.00 as late fee for every registration package that they fully pay after March 27, 2009.
  • The no-refund policy will apply to all institutions with teams and/or adjudicators that back out of the tournament after this date.
  • The results of the Phase 2 Registration can be accessed on the registration page of http://www.pidc-online.com on or before April 1, 2009 (Wednesday).

Phase 3: On-Site Confirmation and Release of Tournament Kits

April 15, 2009, 1:00-5:00pm, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Campus

  • Institution representatives must validate the names, contact information, registration package codes, and special dietary requirements (if any) of all their institution's officially registered teams and adjudicators during this phase. The copies of the two deposit slips from the Phase 1 and 2 Registration must be presented by the institution representative. The latter must also inform the registration officer about any corrections in the registration information and settle any pending balance for the registration packages.
  • The registration officer will give the institution representative the Registration Clearance upon verifying that all the debaters' and adjudicators' pertinent registration information are correct and that the institution does not have any pending balance.
  • The tournament kits and IDs, which will serve as the entrance pass to the tournament venues, will be given to the institution representative.
  • Only institutions that accomplish the on-site confirmation and are issued the Registration Clearance will be placed on the official PIDC tab.
